Backend Engineer – New York – SQL/ Python- Market Technology Platform Company – Highly Competitive Package

I am looking for Backend Engineers for a hugely exciting marketing  technology company based in New York who are rapidly expanding their engineering team and looking for talented SQL experts to come and work with them. This company was created by a senior executive of one of the world’s most famous technology companies and comes with high pedigree  

Your responsibilities:

• Build customer facing data models that serve both internal (product, finance, sales, business intelligence, etc.) and external stakeholders such as Fortune 100 enterprise clients
• Own data quality for stakeholders across the organization, including defining and managing SLAs for all data sets
• Partner with Finance, Product, Marketing, and the C-Level to answer and expound upon our most urgent data questions
• Help determine the path for analytics at this company, they’re growing fast!
• Work with a modern data tech stack that includes Snowflake, Heap, DBT, and Looker

Your skills and experience:

• A strong education in Computer Science, Math, or a relevant STEM field OR 3+ additional years of hands-on technical experience in a production-level development environment
• Mid-level hires should have a minimum of 3 years of experience using SQL and Python (or backend Javascript) for work or personal projects
• Senior hires should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience using SQL and Python (or backend Javascript) for work or personal projects
• Experience with Go considered a plus
• Experience working on a fast-moving, scaled consumer or enterprise product, writing high-quality and efficient code and building, prototyping, iterating in aggressive timeframes
• Relentless product-mindset that drives you not only to contribute to engineering execution, but to plan, design, implement, and improve new and existing features to perfect the user experience
• Ability to thrive amidst ambiguity or undefined/unscoped problems and the desire to constantly seek and share ideas across the team
• Former experience with or exposure to data products, analytics, APIs, or ETL pipelines
