Data Analyst (Google Analytics/ SQL) – Global Media Technology Company – Central London/ Hybrid – £45-50,000 + bens
Overview
Our client, a special interest content and platform company with over 1,000 people across eight divisions are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team. They own and operate some of the best-loved brands in the UK and they focus on special interest markets, engaging over 75 million global passionate consumers each month.
About the role
This is a great opportunity for a Data Analyst to join the team and contribute directly to the output of the group. Reporting to the Digital Hubs Senior Data Analyst and facing into our Premium workstream. This workstream will consist of three main areas: launching a native paid-for Mobile App, rolling out a Premium & Freemium version of our websites, and our Digital Editions.
This role will be responsible for working with the team on various data projects, creating and maintaining the reporting suite and deriving actionable insight from the available data. These three revenue streams are all relatively new and this role is a great opportunity to work with these stakeholders to influence the overall data strategy going forward.
As a Data Analyst, you will;
- Delivery of meaningful insight and actionable recommendations, presented with confidence and succinctness
- Analyse data across Web and App, content performance & subscriptions funnels
- Develop Reports and Dashboards using Tableau to bring meaningful insight to stakeholders
- Using SQL and the Azure DWH, cleanse, wrangle and join data from a variety of sources
- Select and deploy appropriate analytical and statistical techniques to help with a range of tasks
- A/B & Mutliveriant Testing of Premium & Fremium subscriptions models
- Contribute to the implementation and delivery of the Analytics strategy, providing ongoing insights and actionable recommendations to promote positive change
Data Analyst Requirements
- At least 3 years in a Data/ Analyst facing role
- Ability to generate actionable insight using data/ stakeholder/ business understanding
- Knowledge of database structures and relational databases
- Strong skills in data cleansing, reformatting, and wrangling
- Strong SQL skills – at least 2 years of daily experience
- Strong visualisation skills – Power BI, Tableau, etc. – at least 2 years of daily experience
- Experience working with Web Analytics, specifically Google Analytics & Google Search Console
