Their Channel Data Science team is a group embedded in the media buying practice to translate the domain knowledge gained from running media for their clients into smart tools that push the limits of advanced advertising. Their work includes predictive modeling, optimization, workflow automation apps, and the pioneering application of Generative AI to create novel marketing solutions, all in the service of reducing manual work, improving optimization, and achieving better outcomes for their media activation and consulting clients.
About The Role
This role sits within the Channel Data Science team, working directly alongside media buyers and activation teams. You will help design, develop, and deploy Generative AI–powered tools that improve media decision-making, automate workflows, enhance creative and strategy processes, and support advanced reporting and insights.
This is a highly innovative, impact-driven position focused on applying LLMs and other Generative AI techniques to real-world marketing challenges. You will work closely with engineers, other data scientists, strategists, and media teams to bring advanced AI capabilities into production and drive forward some of the organization’s most forward-thinking initiatives.
Who You Are And What You Have
- A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years (with Master’s/PhD) or 3+ years (with Bachelor’s) of relevant experience in data science or analytics.
- 1+ years of experience building data science software or applications, ideally including those leveraging AI/ML models.
- Hands-on experience in quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, optimization, and/or machine learning.
- Proven experience developing or deploying solutions using Generative AI, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source models.
- Strong experience utilizing Python and SQL for data manipulation, modeling, and application development.
- Experience building analytical workflows, automation tools, or AI-driven applications. Experience in advertising or advertising technology is highly desirable, especially when paired with GenAI work.
- Academic, internship, or personal projects demonstrating applied modeling or AI techniques are preferred.
What You’ll Do:
- Explore, develop, and deploy Generative AI (LLM-based) tools for marketing, such as content generation, audience persona development, natural language reporting, strategy assistants, and enhanced customer insights.
- Develop new techniques including traditional ML models, optimization algorithms, LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering strategies, and automation to improve internal capabilities and client-facing tools.
- Design, test, and productionalize GenAI-powered applications in collaboration with other data scientists and engineers.
- Support media activation and media consulting teams by developing AI-driven solutions that automate workflows, streamline processes, and enhance performance.
- Identify and integrate new advancements in AI and Generative AI into practical business use cases within marketing and media.
- Work cross-functionally with media buyers, strategists, engineers, and account teams to understand challenges and translate them into AI-powered solutions.
- Help evolve and enhance internal IP, tools, and frameworks using the latest methodologies in LLMs and AI.
