Machine Learning Engineer ( Data, ML GenAI Ops ) – Azure – Remote – 3 months ( Full Time ) – Events – Immediate Start
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to support the technology team of our client, a major player in the events sector. This team is responsible for ensuring that state-of-the art digital and technology products are built, deployed and managed in an effective and secure way.
This role requires a strong background in data processing, pipeline development, and integration of AI models. The ideal candidate will have approximately 2 years of experience working on machine learning and GenAI projects, with a focus on operationalising AI workloads.
The candidate should be proficient in Azure services, possess strong skills in data engineering, and MLOps and DevOps practices.
Specific responsibilities for this role include working alongside the team to:
- Data flow: Design, build and maintain data pipelines, APIs and protocols as needed to implement and improve the companys strategy. (Technology: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Azure API Management)
- Data Storage: Design, build and maintain best-in-class data storage solutions best suited to the business requirements and all data types, whether structured, unstructured, large or small, rapid access or cold storage, and including meta-data, hierarchies and ontologies. (Technology: Azure Storage, Azure SQL)
- Cloud management: Support the team in managing the cloud infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, security and access control while facilitating relevant access.
- Integrate generative LLM and LMM models into existing workflows ensuring seamless data flow across different systems.
- Technology Evolution: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in cloud-based data engineering and development.
Skills and Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working with Azure Machine Learning Studio is necessary for this role –specifically Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage (ADLS), Azure SQL, Azure Databricks and AzureML.
- Hands-on programming skills, preferably in Python, and data formats such as JSON.
- Demonstrable hands-on knowledge of applied generative AI models, mainly in text, knowledge classification and recommendation engines.
- Experience implementing the use of Large Language Models for customised applications, applying this knowledge to practical scenarios.
- Knowledge of ML Ops and Azure DevOps frameworks.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as LangChain, PyTorch,
- TensorFlow is paramount, as well as knowledge of data versioning and model management tools.
