Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake, AWS, SQL – High-Growth AI InsurTech – US / Remote – Eastern or Central Time – $155,000 – $195,000 + Equity + Benefits

As they continue to scale, they are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the data foundations that power their AI products.

The Opportunity

This is more than a traditional Data Engineering role. You'll take ownership of a mission-critical data platform, influence company-wide data strategy and build the infrastructure that supports AI models making real-world business decisions at scale.

Working closely with senior leadership, AI teams and platform engineers, you'll help create a trusted, scalable and governed data ecosystem that drives innovation across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own and scale the company’s data engineering environment end-to-end
  • Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines across a multi-cloud environment
  • Support the rollout and evolution of a greenfield Snowflake ecosystem
  • Help build and operationalize a modern cloud-based data lake architecture
  • Work across AWS or Azure environments
  • Partner closely with product, analytics, and leadership teams to package and surface data insights, trends and recommendations
  • Contribute to AI and Generative AI-related data initiatives
  • Drive data quality, monitoring, resilience and scalability best practices
  • Support downstream analytics and AI use cases through well-structured and accessible data infrastructure

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of Data Engineering experience with strong architectural ownership
  • Deep expertise in Snowflake, SQL and Python
  • Background within Insurance, InsurTech, MGA, Reinsurance or P&C environments
  • Experience building modern data platforms and data governance frameworks
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML ecosystems and data infrastructure
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements including GDPR and CCPA

  • Experience with multi-region data platforms and data residency challenges
  • Exposure to customer-facing analytics products
  • Experience building AI-powered data agents or intelligent data solutions
