Tracking Specialist – London – GA360, GTM, JavaScript – Consultancy Firm – Up to £50,000
Overview
This opportunity is with a data company helping brands collect, analyse and activate their data across paid, earned and owned channels to increase their marketing ROI and improve customer acquisition and retention. Headquartered in Paris with offices across Europe, Asia & North America, founded by ex-Googlers.
You will assist internal and external stakeholders on all issues related to the implementation of data collection tags on websites and applications. This includes web analytics, media tracking and marketing technology implementations, audits and quality assurance as well as providing technical support and managing client relationships. Additionally, you will support the technical stream of our Conversion Rate Optimisation offering.
Tracking Specialist day to day responsibilities:
- Creating analytics & media tracking specifications & assisting with the entire implementation process
- Partner with tech teams to define data collection strategies
- Use/customise JavaScript for complex data collection for website analytics
- Utilise tag management solutions to deploy analytics tagging on client’s digital properties
- Develop a sharp operational expertise about web analytics and media-buy topics
- Deliver high-quality outcomes for a variety of missions in the space of Ad Tech and Web Analytics, working in a client-facing position, supported by a team of technical specialists
- QA all analytics deployments and verify data collection in reporting tools
Tracking Specialist Essential Skills & Experience:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Maths preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a relevant role in an adtech or performance marketing environment
- Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
- Organisational and project management skills (organisation of meetings, managing deadlines and client relationships)
- Ability to read/write JavaScript
- Ability to create documentations with technical specifications
- Knowledge of fundamental web concepts (HTML/CSS)
- Experience using a Tag Management System (ideally Google Tag Manager)
- Experience with Web Analytics and AdTech deployment (ideally Google Analytics and GMP / Facebook)
