Data Engineer – Python / SQL – Remote Role – Growing Marketing Company – $120,000- $135,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Their Media Products & Services team is a group embedded in the media buying practice to translate the domain knowledge gained from running media for their clients to smart tools that push the limits of advanced advertising. Their work includes predictive modeling/optimization, building workflow automation apps, and the pioneering application of Generative AI for novel marketing solutions – all in the service of making our work less repetitive and manual, more optimized, and seeking better outcomes for our media activation and media consulting clients.

They are seeking Data Scientists with media experience who can understand the core business objectives of the internal teams and their clients, and ideate, design, and develop innovative tools leveraging the latest marketing techniques. While experience in media is a plus, a passion for applying cutting-edge AI to marketing challenges is crucial.

We seek a skilled Data Engineer to join our clients data team and drive the development and maintenance of robust ETL pipelines, data warehousing solutions, and marketing performance reporting systems. This role is critical in ensuring our organization has a reliable, scalable, and efficient data infrastructure to support data-driven decision making across marketing and business operations.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to build and maintain data pipelines for popular marketing platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc) using Python and Argo Workflows
• Implement data validation, quality checks, and monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy and reliability while optimizing performance and troubleshooting issues
• Support automated reporting solutions using Python
• Deploy these pipelines across multiple environments with Docker, Helm, Terraform, and Kubernetes
• Ensure data warehouse scalability, performance optimization, and cost efficiency
• Integrate new data pipelines on a management UI, ensuring it effectively supports setup and maintenance tasks
  

Who You Are And What You Have

• 2-5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• Highly proficient with Python, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Pytest,
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Postgres
• Experience with database design and optimization
• Experience integrating with marketing APIs (Google Analytics, Facebook Marketing API, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
• Experience with deploying data pipelines in Python
• Experience with Git, GitHub, or other version control tools
  

Useful Experience

• Experience with containerized architecture (Docker, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows)
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
• Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS)
• Experience with data visualization tools (Marketing Cloud Intelligence)
• Knowledge of customer data platforms (CDPs) and marketing automation tools is preferred
