Join a fast-moving, well-funded start-up at the ground floor, where you’ll have full ownership over the real-time data streaming layer – from CDC ingestion to sub-100ms analytics. This is a greenfield opportunity to architect and implement cutting-edge infrastructure that enables real-time decision-making in the high-growth iGaming and payments space.
We’re seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong DevOps capabilities and a passion for building reliable, low-latency data systems from scratch.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll take the lead in designing, deploying, and scaling the data and DevOps infrastructure. This includes:
- End-to-End Infrastructure Ownership – Deploying and maintaining scalable AWS infrastructure tailored for real-time data.
- Automation and CI/CD – Designing robust CI/CD pipelines and automating deployments using Terraform.
- Containerisation and Orchestration – Implementing container solutions using Docker and managing orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Observability – Setting up advanced monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus and Grafana to ensure system health.
- Real-Time Data Streaming – Designing and building high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines using tools like Kafka or Flink.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Working closely with engineering and product teams to align data architecture with business needs.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of production experience with AWS
- Proficiency in Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
- Expertise in Change Data Capture (CDC) and real-time streaming (e.g. Kafka, Flink)
- Solid Linux administration experience and scripting capabilities
Nice to Have
- Experience with Apache Iceberg
- Previous exposure to the iGaming or Payments industry
