Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer – Atlanta / Hybrid – Up to $125,000 + Benefits

The Role

I am seeking an Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for planning and implementing the design, installation, and connectivity of server systems and network infrastructure.  As part of this position, you will be expected to have knowledge of Amazon Web Services cloud services in order to ensure that the organization's IT resources run smoothly. As an Infrastructure Engineer you will be required to support cloud infrastructure and customers' systems and services. You are committed to quality, compliance, and stability of your work at all times. A strong sense of ownership, team collaboration skills, and the ability to address customer concerns calmly and promptly are all crucial to the success of this position. The person in this position will be a point of escalation for junior team members and will handle on-call rotations and occasional off-hours support requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build a secure cloud infrastructure in AWS
  • Manage network intrusion protection and prevention appliances
  • Maintain Security hardening in the application development cycle
  • Manage Identity providers and SSO
  • Streamline application deployments
  • Review application architecture and provide best practices
  • Monitor server and network systems health and respond to incidents
  • Upgrade and patch cloud servers and platforms
  • Troubleshoot network and server issues

Required Skills:

  • Microsoft Windows and Linux Server administration
  • Task automation with PowerShell or bash
  • Active Directory/DNS/DHCP administration
  • Networking: IP Addressing, Subnets, Routing, and Switching
  • Server configuration with Chef, Puppet or Ansible
  • Understand and follow IT change management protocols
  • Documentation experience - review, creation, testing, execution, and cross training

Required Qualifications:

  •  5-7 years of experience on system administration
  • Adopting a “team first” mentality and working collaboratively to solve problems and meet shared goals

Preferred skills:

  • Ability to program and automate tasks in any standard language
  • Ability to troubleshoot network related issue from end to end
  • Familiar with JIRA, FTP, and monitoring software.
  • Hands on knowledge about Network and Security

Salary

Up to $125,000, plus benefits
